Architectural Sales Rep Job Description
Stern Engineering is a world leader in the commercial sanitary market, producing touch-free faucets, automatic soap dispensers, hand dryers, flush valves for urinals and toilets, and related accessories.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Architecture Sales Representative to join our team, based in
Clifton, NJ. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and be comfortable working with architects, designers, engineers and contractors. If you enjoy coming up with effective solutions and working toward achieving goals, this job is right for you.

Responsibilities

  • Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing architects, designers, engineers and contractors.
  • Travel within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings and product presentations with existing and potential customers.
  • Consult directly with architects and designers to create brand awareness and generate specifications.
  • Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.
  • Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
  • Collaborating with the marketing department and other sales reps to expand brand presence by creating suitable marketing materials.
  • Researching competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, trade shows and industry events.
  • Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.

Requirements

  • Technical or Bachelor’s degree with experience in commercial interior design, architecture, or material specification. Experience in the commercial sanitary product is an advantage.
  • Architectural rep experience is required, applications without such experience will not be processed.
  • Existing relationship with architects and designers in the New York metropolitan area.
  • Strong sales skills. Proven outside sales and business development experience.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, familiarity with Customer Relationship

Management (CRM) software.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Domestic travel as necessary.

Compensation

  • Salary $75-100K based on relevant experience.
  • Benefits: Medical insurance, 401K with company match, vacation, sick and holiday pay.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
